Cause Erin Said So....

So I totally got called out by Erin (if you don't know who Erin is, she's my fabulously wonderful sister in law) in her last blond that I don't update enough. And honestly, I think it's a bit ridiculous! Who REALLY updates more than twice a year anywho? J/K.

Well here goes...

Adam and I found out a little over a month ago that I am pregnant! It is a very exciting very crazy experience to think we are going to have another rugrat around the house again. I am ecstatic - I have been wanting another baby for quite some time, but for practical reasons we have been waiting. But no one said surprises have to be practical! It took a little while for Adam to get used to the idea, but he is really beginning to get into it. I am due on August 20th, aka I'm 9 weeks pregnant.

Since my last update, I've also gotten a new job! Things are much slower than I had hoped they would be, but I have hope that they will pick up so that I'm not twiddling my thumbs all day long. I am working for a Telecommunications Supplier - basically, we install telephone and internet lines into different commercial businesses. I project coordinate all of the line orders for Trader Joe's (I'll let you know if I get any sweet coupons or not, in the near future!!). So far, so good. The company is very friendly, but again I am having a difficult time keeping my day busy.

Cayden has been sick for the better part of three weeks now, he has a pretty nasty cough right now and we're hoping that we're not going to be presented with worse. But on a high note, he is talking more! He is finally calling me by name (aka mom-mom) and is starting to repeat words we are saying. We're hoping that this is the beginning of the end to the worries we have had about speech delays.

Oh! I thought I would let you all into the loverly (and somewhat graphic) world of my first OB/GYN appointment, don't worry, we'll keep it G-Rated. I insisted that Adam come along on this appointment, because I didn't know how far along I was and I knew that my OB would want to do an ultrasound to determine the age of the babe. So we get in there, and Adam's already starting to freak out. The OB comes in, and she is pretty fabulous but tells me that we're not going to be doing a "normal" belly ultrasound. If you catch my drift.

Anywho, the ultrasound is going great, the nurse asks Adam how he's doing. He leaves the room and ends up throwing up! From looking at the SCREEN. My doc and the nurse goes, "What are you going to do in the delivery room!?" I honestly have no idea. My idea is to keep calling Adam a wimp until he toughens up. But - I'm open for suggestions.

OK Guys, Well I guess this is it for now. Talk to you in 6 months!!! ;-)
